A New Chapter: A New Addition

So this is a crazy blog post to write but has been many months in the brewing...I am very happy to finally share with you that I am pregnant! Nearly 6 months along now and feeling excited, healthy and happy!

The first trimester was not so fun but my energy has been back for a few months now and I have been happily enjoying making all your lovely orders, making lots of Wedding pieces, Pride pieces, adding new stockists to the roster (We Are Pets and Form), selling at Markets (the next one will be the Museum Market, Museumplein August 19th), teaching Knitting Classes and all sorts of other exciting, fun things that have come my way, like being featured in the Amsterdam edition of We Make the City

   

'Baby Amsterdam' (my sister's lovely nickname for the bump) is due to make an appearance in mid November so I will go on Maternity Leave from mid October...meaning that I will not be taking orders or doing markets over the Christmas period...I will be back in the studio for February 2019 and ensuring all my stockists are well stocked with Wool & Water and Wool & Whiskers pieces to entice you over the gifting and party season before I press pause. And pause is exactly what it is.

It does feel a little scary to be taking a break from my lovely little label, especially over the Christmas period, I hope very much you won't forget about me - your support has been the driving force behind my unexpected knitwear! But I realise I will have my hands full with things other than yarn for a few months - literally!

HOWEVER I am still here for a while yet, still knitting away until mid October. So if you happen to be an organised person or have always fancied getting your Sinterklaas/Christmas gifts organised well ahead of time then as long as you place your orders by the end of September/early October I will get them made and shipped out to you!

So just to be clear, Wool & Water and Wool & Whiskers ranges will not be available to order online from mid October until February 2019 - I will remind you again nearer the time and of course I will still be here, on social media etc directing you to where you can find my designs in stores and probably even more delighted than ever to hear from you about your experiences wearing your Bow Tie or Lapel Pin so keep them coming!
